Tutoring and Learning Center Owner
Penelope Elery is the owner and executive director of Elery Learning Center in Houston, TX, a tutoring and learning center that focuses on excellence through creative learning. Before establishing the tutoring center, Mrs. Elery taught and led the pre-grammar division at Paratus Classical Academy.
Mrs. Elery studied at Mount Royal University in Alberta, Canada specializing in early childhood education and working with children with special needs. To enhance her teaching knowledge, she completed courses with the Association of Classical Christian Schools (ACCS).
Within her over 11-year educational career, Mrs. Elery has served as a teacher, private and satellite tutor, curriculum writer, and Pre-Grammar Department Head. She also managed special events in the private and classical education sectors with an emphasis on Christian education in Canada and the USA. Additionally, she is a certified Precept Bible teacher.
Mrs. Elery enjoys reading, exercising, volunteering, and spending time with her family, especially her husband of more than 25 years and her collage age daughter.
